MSC Cruises Bases New Ship in Piraeus, Greece

MSC Cruises hosted a special event on board MSC Musica at the port of Piraeus to celebrate the ship's summer 2023 sailing season in the East Mediterranean. This marks the second time that MSC Cruises has based a ship in Greece and the first time that MSC Musica will be homeported in the country. MSC Musica will be operating 26 seven-night voyages until October, with ports of call including Santorini and Mykonos in Greece, Kusadasi in Turkey, Haifa in Israel, and Limassol in Cyprus.

Silvio, age 35, who had planned a beautiful marriage proposal for his partner Valentina during their Mediterranean cruise, tragically passed away the day after the proposal. Silvio had put a lot of thought and love into the proposal, which took place at the ship’s theatre in front of their one-year-old son, family, and hundreds of other guests on board.

MSC Virtuosa Crew Member Medically Evacuated at Port of Hamburg

A crew member aboard the cruise ship MSC Virtuosa required urgent medical attention and was evacuated shortly after the vessel departed from Hamburg, Germany. A 25-year-old Brazilian crew member has been arrested for allegedly raping a colleague aboard the cruise ship MSC Seashore. The police arrested the suspect when the vessel docked at the Port of Maceió in Brazil on March 14th. The Women's Defense Police Station has confirmed that the victim reported the crime and registered the complaint.

MSC Meraviglia makes stop near PortMiami due to a medical emergency

The cruise ship MSC Meraviglia made an emergency stop at the port of Miami to medevac a passenger in need of urgent medical assistance. The ship was at MSC Cruises Private Island Ocean Cay in the Bahamas when the captain announced on the PA system that they needed to depart to Miami in order for the Coast Guard to perform a medical evacuation.
