NCL Latest Cruise Ship Named Norwegian Joy

The latest Norwegian Cruise Line ship exclusively constructed for the Chinese market will be named Norwegian Joy. NCL unveiled the Chinese name of the ship 喜悦号 that will be placed on the hull alongside the English name.

Norwegian Joy will focus on the freestyle cruise offered onboard and a promise that guests will ‘Experience Paradise on the Sea.'

Norwegian Joy specifically designed for the young Chinese travelers will set sail in Summer 2017.

The ship, currently under construction in the German Shipyard, Meyer Werft will be Breakaway Plus-class vessel, with capacity of 3,900 guests.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings CEO Frank Del Rio said “After closely studying the Chinese cruise market for several years, we wanted to be clear about what we will deliver to our guests on this spectacular vessel,”.

“Norwegian Joy will provide the same sense of freedom and flexibility found on all Norwegian Cruise Line ships, but with resort-style vacation experiences and amenities designed specifically with the Chinese guest in mind.”

More details including home port, accommodation, food and entertainment will be announced in the following months.
