Passenger Missing in Bonaire as Speculation Adds Mystery

Authorities are searching for a U.S. passenger who vanished after disembarking from the cruise ship Carnival Horizon last week. The individual, identified by local officials as Jessica Collins, age 47, was last seen on September 17, 2025, exiting the ship at Port Kralendijk.

Disappearance Details

According to police, Collins left the vessel wearing a printed white shirt, light blue shorts, and white sandals while carrying a gray backpack. Surveillance footage confirmed her movements ashore, but she failed to return before the ship’s scheduled departure. Her luggage and other personal belongings remained onboard, while her identification documents were reportedly with her at the time of disappearance.

Bonaire’s police force, supported by coast guard units and volunteers, has deployed extensive land and maritime patrols in the hope of locating the missing traveler. Authorities have appealed to the public for information and released security camera images in an effort to trace her movements.

Online Speculation: Epstein Connection Claims

As the search continues, speculation has emerged online suggesting that the missing woman could be Jessica Leigh Collins, who has previously described herself as a victim connected to the Jeffrey Epstein case and published a book titled True Story of Jeffrey Epstein Victims.

Jessica Leigh Collins’ friend Chris Dorsey posted a message on Facebook, writing:

“Very upsetting news Jessica Collins is missing. I just found out about this an hour ago from a local reporter. I pray she is alright. I called her phone and it went straight to voicemail.”

Growing Uncertainty

For now, investigators continue to treat the disappearance as a missing-person case. “Our priority is to find Ms. Collins and determine what happened,” a police spokesperson said. While social media discussion has fueled wider intrigue, officials emphasize that there is no verified evidence connecting the missing person to the public figure of the same name.

Past Tragedy in Bonaire

This is not the first time the small Caribbean island has been thrust into the spotlight over a cruise-related disappearance. In 2017, Bonaire witnessed one of its most disturbing cases when Adriana Morales de Florencio, a young crew member from Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas, was brutally murdered after going ashore.

Her death shocked the crew community and highlighted the risks faced by both passengers and crew in destinations normally associated with leisure.

Hopes for a Safe Return

The mystery surrounding Jessica Collins’ disappearance continues to grip both the island community and those following the case.  We send our prayers and stand in solidarity with her loved ones, hoping she will soon be found safe and well.
