Princess Cruises has announced an order for three new Voyager-class cruise ships, marking a major expansion of its future fleet. The agreement with the Italian shipyard Fincantieri was formalized during the Seatrade Cruise Global event in Miami.
The vessels will be built at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone shipyard, with deliveries scheduled for 2035, 2038, and 2039. Each ship will measure approximately 183,000 gross tons and carry up to 4,700 guests, making them the largest and most advanced ships ever built for the brand.
The new Voyager class is an evolution of the LNG-powered Sphere-class design, featuring updated layouts, redesigned open decks, and enhanced passenger spaces. Compared to the earlier class, the ships will be slightly larger and offer increased capacity.
Powered primarily by liquefied natural gas, the ships are expected to significantly reduce emissions compared to traditional marine fuels.
The order continues a long-standing partnership between Princess Cruises and Fincantieri, which has delivered more than 20 ships for the brand over the past three decades.
