Princess Cruises tightens health protocols onboard

The Omicron variant didn’t leave the cruise industry unconcerned. Another Cruise Line updates the protocols, following the immediate effect. Princess Cruises is the one notifying the guests this time about the changes. One of the changes is wearing masks during all cruises, no matter the length, instead of the previous mandatory wearing masks for 10-day or longer cruises only. The other one is banning smoking in the casino. 

Caribbean Princess is Eighth Princess Ship to Return to Cruise Service

Princess Cruises marked the return to service of the Caribbean Princess, the eighth ship in the fleet to resume cruises from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Guests sailing onboard the Caribbean Princess received warm welcome onboard by the crew, senior officers and Princess Cruises President John Padget, before the ship set sail on a 7 Night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean.

The 39th edition of the "Una Vita per il Mare" (A life dedicated to the sea) award took place at the Sala Nobile, in the Palazzo del Consiglio dei twelve cavalieri di S. Stefano, in Pisa, Italy. Fifth Princess Cruise Ship Restarts Operations From Los Angeles

Princess Cruises continues to push forward with resuming operations and welcoming guests back on more cruise ships. Today the company announced another big comeback of the Emerald Princess departing from the Port of Los Angeles on a 15-day Panama Canal cruise to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The very first guests were welcomed onboard by Emerald Princess teammates with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Carnival Corporation Named World's Best Employers of 2021 by Forbes

A worldwide independent survey among more than 150, 000 employees in 58 countries working full-or part-time was conducted by Forbes, which they used to determine The World’s Best Employers list. The participants anonymously answered questions, evaluated their current employer, showed their free will to recommend their company to close friends and family and graded their satisfaction of the working atmosphere, salary, potential promotions and other factors.

Stern releases ranking of the most environmentally friendly and safe cruise ships

The German weekly magazine Stern together with Scope ESG Analysis published a list of the most environmentally friendly and safe cruise ships. The ranking is based 70% on the environmental score and 30% on a safety score, the report said. For the environmental score, it was taken in consideration how much CO2 a cruise ship emits with regard to the climate targets to be achieved. The report shows to what extent the cruise lines miss, achieve or exceed these goals.
