Disney Treasure floated out from the Meyer Werft Shipyard

The latest addition to the Disney cruise family, the Disney Treasure, just rolled out of the construction dock at Papenburg Meyer Werft, and it's making waves in a big way! This massive 341-meter-long, 37-meter-wide beauty is getting its final touches at the shipyard pier before heading out to sea. The cruise ship is expected to sail to the North Sea on September 21st for testing before the delivery by the end of the year.

Carnival Corporation announced an order for three massive new ships for Carnival Cruise Line, each nearly 230,000 gross tonnes. These colossal vessels will be built by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, and will run on eco-friendly liquefied natural gas (LNG), are set to hit the seas in the summers of 2029, 2031, and 2033.
