Disney Cruise Line to Grow Fleet to 13 Ships with Four New Additions

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Disney Cruise Line is about to make waves with a major expansion, adding four brand-new ships to its fleet between 2027 and 2031! The big reveal was announced on Saturday by Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, with a little help from the iconic musical group All-4-One.

Currently, Disney Cruise Line’s fleet includes five ships: the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and the Disney Wish. With these five ships and four more on the way, the fleet will expand to 13 by 2031. While details such as ship names, designs, and itineraries are still under wraps, this expansion highlights Disney’s commitment to enhancing its cruise line offerings and providing even more magical experiences at sea.

The 144,000 GT Disney Treasure is set to debut from Port Canaveral in December, marking the start of this exciting new chapter.

Following that, the Disney Destiny is scheduled for delivery in late 2025. The Disney Adventure, a 208,000 GT vessel previously known as World Dream, is being completed by Meyer Werft at the former WV Werften shipyard and is planned for a 2025 launch in Singapore. Additionally, Oriental Land Co., which operates Disney parks in Tokyo, has ordered a Wish-class ship for Japan, expected to arrive in late 2028.
