MSC Sinfonia crew members are facing restrictions after the number of positive Covid-19 cases among the ship’s employees has increased. The ship has implemented additional health and safety protocols on board in an attempt to stop the spread of the virus after last week's swab results overreached 4% of the crew members that tested positive for Covid. Some privileges have been immediately revoked till the number of positive csses will be reduced.

The luxury cruise company Swan Hellenic, led by Andrea Zito seems to be encountering some difficulties that will affect the brand's rebirth program and the activity of this new holiday class on board. 

In early May, Crown Princess resumed her first cruise since the global pause in operations. However, the vessel was plagued by several problems that affected its routes. These problems mainly stem from current engine problems, which affect its top speed.

The sale of two Crystal Cruises ships ended at an auction for 128 million dollars. Crystal Symphony, which entered service in 1996, sold for $ 25 million, and the 19-year-old Cristal Serenity for $ 103 million.

The two ships were arrested in the Bahamas after the collapse of the parent company Genting Hong Kong earlier this year.

Princess Cruises has canceled numerous voyages for 2023 on two of its royal-class ships in the Baltic region, Asia and Australia.

The entire Baltic season for Regal Princess, which was supposed to last from April 9, 2023 to September 3, 2023, has been canceled. The princess stated in the document that the reason is the ongoing war in Ukraine.

A crew member, together with about 40 shipboard employees who tested positive aboard MSC Meraviglia, reports that they have been transferred to a Covid hotel in Genoa, Italy. The crew member said that MSC Cruises has restored the policy to disembark crew towards land facilities in order to contain the number of positive cases on board within limits that can be acceptable by different port health authorities.
