Crew member dies of heart attack on TUI cruise ship

A Filipino crew member who was working for the German cruise company TUI Cruises died of cardiac arrest. The cabin attendant Syne Diente age 39, passed away on January 12, 2019, onboard the cruise ship Mein Schiff 1. Ship’s medical personnel was alarmed by his cabin mate and quickly responded to the scene, but unfortunately, it was too late. His fellow shipmate send the following message:

Carnival cruise line announced it is expanding the number of ships on which guests can order pizza by using the Hub app to order a pie. First introduced on Horizon and Vista, this extra service is now available on Carnival Conquest, Breeze, Dream, Victory, Magic, Conquest, Sensation, Glory, Ecstasy, and Liberty. The Pizza Anywhere delivery service is a good idea allowing guests to place an order on the app, and have it delivered anywhere on the ship.

Smoke and Medical Evacuation of a Crew Member on Carnival Sensation

A crew member who was in need of urgent shoreside medical care was airlifted from Carnival Sensation by the US Coast Guard on February 9. The cruise ship which was sailing towards Cozumel was diverted to Key West, Florida to rendezvous with a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter for a medical evacuation. Because of the medical emergency, the stop to Cozumel was canceled.
