Queen Mary 2 to Join Epic Transatlantic Race in 2017

Epic ocean race will set off next year, between the Cunard’s ocean liner Queen Mary 2 and four Ultime trimarans. This transatlantic race will start on 25 June, 2017 from Saint-Nazaire, France across the North Atlantic and finish at the entrance of the New York harbour. The amazing idea, by Damien Grimont, supported by the French Minister of Defense, was finalized following The Bridge Association signing agreement with Cunard Line to charter their flagship, Queen Mary 2 for this epic ocean race.

Cruise ship passengers fight off robber with a handgun in New Orleans

A couple sailing on cruise ship got into struggle late Tuesday November 8, with a armed robber in New Orleans Riverfront, reports WDSU News. According to the police, the couple was walking back to the cruise ship, when they were approached by a man at 100 block of Canal Street wearing dark-colored clothing and a bandana on his face.

New Guinness World Record for Selfies Set on Carnival Cruise Ship

Its official, Donnie Wahlberg is the new Guinness world record holder for most selfies taken in three minutes. The new record was set last week on board the cruise ship Carnival Triumph during the eight annual New Kids on the Block cruise. The fans gathered around the ships open deck forming long line in order to take a selfie with the actor and singer.

Michael Jordan on NCL Cruise back in 80s

Back in the mid-80s the NBA Legend Michael Jordan boarded the Norwegian Cruise Line flagship SS Norway, purchased by NCL in 1979. Back then “SS Norway” sailed the Caribbean from Miami, Key West, Cozumel, Roatán and Great Stirrup Cay. Not much is known about this cruise that MJ took, except this photograph released by Jay Hairston on the social networks as a proof that Jordan was onboard.
