What’s Inside the Mystery Box Loaded on Cruise ship?

This mystery box was loaded on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Independence of the Seas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on a 4-day voyage with stop in Grand Turk before returning with a new owner. Inside the box was a custom made motorcycle, presented as a ruffle grand price. The award-winning visionary and builder behind Deadwood Choppers Kustom Motorcycles, Mr. Jack Fiorvante, donated this custom build motorcycle.

The world’s first flight simulator on cruise ship

On board guests can now enjoy state-of-the-art  flight simulator while sailing on a cruise ship. The largest flight simulator experience operator IFlight in partnership with TUI Cruises will install the world’s first flight simulator on the German cruise ship Mein Schiff 1. The cooperation between Europe's most successful chain of professional flight simulators and TUI Cruises will begin on September 24th 2016.

Carnival Cruise Line Employees Participate in International Coastal Cleanup Day

Job well done by several hundreds of Carnival crew members and shore side employees who participated in the International Coastal Cleanup Day. On September 19, they did their part to help environment by cleaning the coast and beaches in different seaside locations from Europe, Florida and the Caribbean to Central America. Carnival Cruise line employees give a great example of the line’s ongoing commitment for environmental protection and preservation. 

Child Medevac on Aida Stella Cruise Ship

Spanish Coast Guard performed medical evacuation on a minor passenger aboard the German cruise ship Aida Stella, when the vessel was sailing 20 nautical miles off the coast of Mallorca. The command center dispatched rescue helicopter type Helimer 203. Crew conducted medical evacuation of a minor patient and the child together with the ships doctor was airlifted and taken to hospital in Espases, Spain.

Carnival Cruise Line to Host 'Lip Sync Battle' with LL Cool J

The hugely popular show 'Lip Sync Battle' presented by Spike TV is coming to Carnival Cruise Lines, allowing passengers to unleash their inner star talent on board. The special edition 'Lip Sync Battle Carnival' will be hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen, aboard the Carnival Vista in December and continuing fleet-wide in 2017. Competitors will be chosen at the beginning of the voyage and will face each other in elimination rounds on the Lido Deck before the final two passengers go head-to-head in the grand finale.

Italian Miss Survivor of the Earthquake and the Costa Concordia Shipwreck

The 20 year-old Italian student, Nicole di Mario lived to win a beauty pageant prize this week after her latest brush with death – escaping the earthquake in central Italy, four years after surviving Costa Concordia. When the earthquake struck central Italy on Wednesday, Nicole was sleeping in a family house in Borbone, 18 kilometers (11 miles) from the village of Amatrice which was wiped out by the quake killing hundreds of people.

Carnival Donates $250,000 for Louisiana Flood Relief

Carnival Cruise Line has once again shown its charitable side by donating $250,000 to aid organizations in support of their efforts on behalf of victims of the recent floods in Louisiana. Carnival Cruise Line will donate $125,000 and its parent company Carnival Corporation is matching that amount through its Carnival Foundation charitable arm. Recipients include the Save the Children, American Red Cross, and Louisiana Association of United Ways.

Cunard Queen Mary 2 - The Largest Lego model

The amazing model of Queen Mary 2 made from Lego bricks will be exhibited at the International Maritime Museum in Hamburg between 10 and 16 August 2016.  Built by the artists Klaas H. Meijaard and René Hoffmeister from about 1 million Lego bricks in approximately 1,200 labor hours the ship weighs a 870 kg and includes a highly detailed replica.
