Three cruise ship bartenders will compete in Diageo semi-finals

Lazar Milosavljevic from Celebrity Cruises, Claudio Santos Liborio from Seabourn Cruise Line and Marc McArthur from Norwegian Cruise Line will compete in the next round at the Diageo Bar 396 in Miami. This three crew members topped the competition from hundreds of bartenders representing all major cruise lines and only one will go on to Diageo Global Travel at the World Class Bartender of the Year finals which will be in Mexico City from 20-24 August 2017.

Carnival Liberty Chefs Create Largest Hamburger at Sea.

Celebrating National Hamburger Day, Carnival Cruise Line created the largest hamburger at sea onboard the cruise ship Carnival Liberty. The massive 300 pound Guy’s Burger was presented while the vessel was docked at Port Canaveral. Chef de Cuisine explained that the giant three-and-a-half-foot-wide hamburger consists of 200 pounds of meat, 50 pounds of cheese and toppings, as well as 50 pounds of flour to make the bun.

TUI Discovery 2 Christened by the Captain and His Crew

The British cruise line Thomson Cruises has welcomed to its fleet the latest cruise ship TUI Discovery 2. The christening ceremony was held in the Port of Malaga, which will also be a homeport of the vessel during the summer season. After complete refurbishment and rebranding at the shipyards in Cadiz, the former Royal Caribbean cruise ship Legend of the Seas reemerged as TUI Discovery 2.

HAL’s Eurodam Scores 11th consecutive perfect USPH score

On a routine unannounced USPH inspection conducted by U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Holland America Line cruise ship MS Eurodam received its 11th consecutive perfect score. The inspectors boarded Eurodam while the vessel was docked in its home port at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on January 14, 2017. After inspecting the key facilities and procedures onboard the CDC inspectors give perfect marks with 100 points.
