Coast Guard Medevacs Crewmember from Carnival Triumph

U.S. Coast Guard executed medical evacuation of a Carnival Triumph crewmember on the Mississippi River near Venice, on Monday, November 6. Ship’s officers notified the Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders that a male crew member was experiencing symptoms of appendicitis aboard the cruise ship. The crew member was evacuated just hours after Carnival Triumph left New Orleans for a 5 Night Western Caribbean voyage. 

8-year-old girl dies onboard Carnival Glory

An 8-year-old girl died aboard Carnival Glory today after falling from two decks into ships interior atrium. According to Miami-Dade Police Department, the terrible tragedy happened at 8:15 a.m. while the vessel was docked at the Port of Miami.

Carnival Glory had just arrived from a 7 Nights Caribbean voyage and everyone was getting ready to disembark the ship when the girl fell.

Cruise itineraries affected by the most powerful Hurricane Irma

With maximum sustained winds of 185 mph (295 kph), recorded by the U.S. National Hurricane Center, the Category 5 Hurricane Irma is feared to be the most catastrophic storm ever. On Wednesday the storm will hit Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Haiti on Friday, and Cuba on Saturday before possibly reaching Florida over the weekend.
