Breaking News: Bravo Code on Jewel of the Seas in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean

Crew Center has been informed that Bravo Code was sounded on the Jewel of the Seas at this moment. The ship is now sailing across the Atlantic Ocean to Miami where it is scheduled to arrive on November 14. The vessel is in the middle of the Atlantic which is the worst place to have an emergency situation.

MSC Lirica: Injured Crew Member Transferred to Hospital in Corfu

A 44-year-old electrician, member of the crew of the cruise ship MSC Lirica, was injured on Wednesday while trying to change a valve of the cooling mechanism. At the time of the accident, MSC Lirica was at the port of Corfu, Greece where the ship is currently in warm layup. The crew member, whose name was not released, was first checked by the ship’s doctor and later transported by EKAB ambulance service to the Corfu General Hospital, for further medical treatment.

A colossal container ship struck berthed expedition cruise ship in Hamburg, Germany while leaving the port. The incident happen yesterday morning when the 150,853 Gross Tonnage cargo ship CSCL Star, struck the Hapag-Lloyd ship Hanseatic Inspiration, during a turning maneuver assisted by tugboats. The container ship came dangerously close to the cruise ship until a slight collision actually occurred at the end.

Norwegian Escape Collides Into Dock in Civitavecchia

Several people have informed Crew Center that the cruise ship Norwegian Escape struck a pier in the port of Civitavecchia. According to our source, the allision happened on December 17, when the Norwegian Escape was maneuvering toward a dock when it made contact with the pier. The reasons for the accident and how the vessel deviated from its course are still unknown. Fortunately, there are no injured crew members and the damage to the ship’s hull was relatively minor. 

Ex-Holland America Ship Breaks Moorings And Hits Sandbar In Corinth

The cruise ship Aegean Majesty (former Holland America Line - MS Veendam) broke her mooring lines during strong overnight winds in the port of Corinth Greece, according to a video posted online by the Korinthostv. Port Authorities said that the ship broke free on November 7, at around 4:30 a.m. due to strong winds, and was grounded on a sandbar 50 meters away from the port.
