Royal Caribbean has introduced a fleetwide leadership development program designed to help shipboard supervisors strengthen their management skills.
The myLeadership Level 1 for Supervisors program was launched across the fleet during the summer of 2026. It focuses on five areas: effective communication, personal development, building trust, accountability and valuing differences.
Training combines online learning with practical assignments and interactive roundtable discussions. More than 40 roundtable sessions have already been held, allowing supervisors to discuss workplace challenges and exchange experiences with colleagues.
Participants have welcomed the practical format, particularly the opportunity to connect leadership concepts with situations they face during daily shipboard operations.
The program is intended to give supervisors greater confidence when managing teams, resolving challenges and supporting employees in the demanding cruise ship environment.
