Costa Cruises has confirmed the redeployment of the cruise ships Costa Smeralda and Costa Fascinosa for the 2021/22 Brazilian season. Besides the good news for the Brazilian cruise lovers, that Costa Cruises will travel around the country with two cruise ships, the additional happy moment to celebrate the confirmation is the launching of the cruises with special benefits for Christmas and New Year aboard Costa Smeralda embarking from Santos and the Costa Fascinosa, from Rio De Janeiro.

Brazil returns on the cruise map with the long-awaited popular cruises for the 2021/2022 season. So far two cruise lines have confirmed deployment of seven cruise ships arriving in November 2021. The ships expected for 2021/22 are Seaside, Splendida, Preziosa, Sinfonia, from MSC Cruises, and the cruise ships Smeralda and Fascinosa, from Costa Cruises.

The two ocean-going ships WORLD VOYAGER and VASCO DA GAMA will sail only with vaccinated or recovered passengers from Covid-19, beginning at the end of October. On the river, the 2G rule will apply from November 29th. On the 1st of October, 2021, Viking announced the first voyage of “CM-Yidun” under a joint-venture with China Merchants Shekou, from Shenzhen Shekou Port on an 8- day cruise to Sanya in Hainan.

The Narcotics Control Bureau of India (NCB) has raided the cruise ship Empress operated by the Startup company Cordelia Cruises at the port of Mumbai and reportedly seized drugs on board. Several media outlets in India report that NCB busted a high-profile event and seized various illegal drugs, including cocaine, hashish, and MDMA.

Holidays are near, so the P&O’s third ship Ventura will resume sailing this weekend, heading for the Canary Islands. That makes half of P&O’s fleet out on the high seas, together with sister ships Britannia and Iona. 

On Sunday, October 3, Ventura will sail for the Canary Islands, cruising the Western Mediterranean before heading to the Caribbean.
