After all Caribbean ports started welcoming cruise ships last year it seems that the Cayman Islands are finally ready to restart cruise tourism. 

TUI Cruises is the latest cruise line to announce cancellation of its calls to Russia and Ukraine this summer season. 

Oceania Cruises celebrated the float out of its newest ship Oceania Vista set to join the fleet in 2023. A ceremony was held for the 67,000-ton vessel with a capacity of 1,200 guests at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente, Italy. The massive building dock started filling with water and Oceania Vista became one with the sea for the very first time.

MSC Cruises has suspended all calls to Saint Petersburg, Russia for this year due to recent developments in the region and related security concerns.

Norwegian Cruise Line announced an increase of the daily services charges of crew gratuities. In a letter sent to guests and travel agents the company said that starting April 1, 2022, will be making a nominal adjustment to the daily service charges. 

Princess Cruises today announced that it has suspended calls to Saint Petersburg, Russia. The cruise company said that the health and safety of passengers and crew is top priority, therefore cancelled all calls to St Petersburg from the end of April until September 2022. 

After two months of voluntary suspension of operations, cruise ships will finally resume sailings in Brazil. Clia Brazil announced on Wednesday the resumption of the cruise season starting on March 5. The rest of the season will feature 19 itineraries and will run through April 18, while the 2022/23 season will officially start in October 2022. Last week, Brazil Ministry of Health released a document allowing cruise ships to resume sailings on March 7.

Costa Cruises' newest flagship Costa Toscana departed from Savona on her maiden voyage. Costa Toscana first 7-night cruise will sail to Marseille, Barcelona, Valencia, Palermo and Civitavecchia (Rome), and this program will run until the end of April 2022.

Making its official debut in the United States Royal Caribbean’s latest and highly anticipated cruise ship Wonder of the Seas set sail on March 4 for the Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Since returning to operations more than a million guests have sailed onboard Royal Caribbean International cruise ships. More than 28,000 crew members have been brought back to sea.
