Oceania Cruises Celebrates Float Out of its Newest Cruise Ship Vista

Oceania Cruises celebrated the float out of its newest ship Oceania Vista set to join the fleet in 2023. A ceremony was held for the 67,000-ton vessel with a capacity of 1,200 guests at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente, Italy. The massive building dock started filling with water and Oceania Vista became one with the sea for the very first time.

NCL to rise daily services charges - Will this reflect the distribution of the crew salaries?

Norwegian Cruise Line announced an increase of the daily services charges of crew gratuities. In a letter sent to guests and travel agents the company said that starting April 1, 2022, will be making a nominal adjustment to the daily service charges. 

Cruise ships to resume Brazil sailings this week

After two months of voluntary suspension of operations, cruise ships will finally resume sailings in Brazil. Clia Brazil announced on Wednesday the resumption of the cruise season starting on March 5. The rest of the season will feature 19 itineraries and will run through April 18, while the 2022/23 season will officially start in October 2022. Last week, Brazil Ministry of Health released a document allowing cruise ships to resume sailings on March 7.
