NCL announces historic deployment of 3 cruise ships in Asia Pacific region

Norwegian Cruise Line announced a record deployment of three ships to the Asia Pacific in 2024 and 2025. Norwegian Spirit will return to Australia and New Zealand for her third consecutive season, while Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Sky will make their debut in the region and also sail Asian itineraries.

MSC Meraviglia makes stop near PortMiami due to a medical emergency

The cruise ship MSC Meraviglia made an emergency stop at the port of Miami to medevac a passenger in need of urgent medical assistance. The ship was at MSC Cruises Private Island Ocean Cay in the Bahamas when the captain announced on the PA system that they needed to depart to Miami in order for the Coast Guard to perform a medical evacuation.

Crew Member Arrested in Brazil For Alleged Rape of Co-worker

A 25-year-old Brazilian crew member has been arrested for allegedly raping a colleague aboard the cruise ship MSC Seashore. The police arrested the suspect when the vessel docked at the Port of Maceió in Brazil on March 14th. The Women's Defense Police Station has confirmed that the victim reported the crime and registered the complaint.

AIDAstella receives Starlink on the recent dry dock

The cruise ship AIDAstella has completed its scheduled dry dock maintenance at the Chantiers Naval de Marseille shipyard in southern France. The maintenance work carried out on AIDAstella included routine maintenance and exterior renovation, such as removing marine growth from the hull of the ten-year-old ship. The shipyard also installed new antennas for Starlink Internet conection.

Carnival Cruise Line reaches major milestone as first cruise company to welcome 100 million guests

Carnival Cruise Line made history by becoming the first company in the industry to welcome 100 million passengers since its establishment in 1972. Debbie and David Clifford from Ohio were the 100 millionth guests and boarded Carnival Sunrise with their family on Friday. Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy personally greeted passengers boarding at PortMiami, where the cruise line was founded and thanked them for choosing Carnival as the world's most popular cruise line.
