P&O Cruises has revealed plans to revamp guest areas on its adults-only vessels, Arcadia and Aurora. The upgrades, set to be completed by May 2023, will include new balcony furnishings, cabin chairs, and furniture for open deck spaces. The Neptune Pool on Arcadia will also undergo extensive refurbishment with new lounge chairs, sofas, tables, and armchairs. The broader renovation of Arcadia will take place in November 2024, while Aurora's is scheduled for April 2025. 

A Carnival Cruise Line crew member has died in Mexico following a short illness in hospital, CTI Group Bali, his recruiting agency, announced the sad news.

Meyer Group, a global leader in cruise ship construction, has unveiled a futuristic concept of what cruise ships could look like in the year 2100. A tragic incident occurred on the Virgin Voyages cruise ship Valiant Lady on Sunday, resulting in the death of a female passenger. According to reports, the passenger fell from her balcony and landed on another passenger on a lower deck, while the ship was en route from PortMiami to Roatan, Honduras. The passenger could not be saved despite immediate medical attention from the onboard medical team.

Brazil's federal police on Monday arrested a cruise ship crew member at the Port of Santos on charges of theft and extortion. The suspect, a Brazilian national, had allegedly stolen a passenger's notebook and attempted to extort money from the victim, Federal Police said in a statement.

The Ambition Ambassador Cruise Line second ship to enter service for the UK cruise company has arrived at the Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany. The former Aida Cruises ship was acquired at the beginning of 2022 and was serving as a hotel accommodation for Ukrainian refugees at King George V dock in Glasgow, Scotland since September 14, 2022.
