Carnival Liberty experiencing technical issues

Due to technical issues Carnival Liberty arrival at the port of Galveston, Texas was delayed for 10 hours. Carnival Liberty was on 4 Night Western Caribbean voyage, setting sail from Galveston, Texas on October 27, to Cozumel, and was expected to arrive in Galveston, Texas today, October 31 at 8 a.m. Instead Liberty will dock in Galveston at 4:30 p.m. and will start the embarkation from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

NCL Reveals Norwegian Bliss Hull Art

Continuing with the tradition of exceptional art with a unique artistic motif Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed the hull design of their latest cruise ship, Norwegian Bliss. Named “Cruising with the Whales,” the hull art by the famous marine artist Wyland features image of a mother humpback whale and her calf as centerpiece of the ships distinctive design.

The Legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli arrived yesterday at the port of Sorrento, and with speedboat boarded the luxury cruise ship Silver Spirit, anchored in front of the coast of the Italian peninsula. Bocelli will perform for 540 guests on board on a gala evening. This is second time world’s most beloved tenor and best-selling classical artist has joined Silver Spirit for unforgettable performance, and exclusive evening of arias at sea.

New Guinness World Record for Selfies Set on Carnival Cruise Ship

Its official, Donnie Wahlberg is the new Guinness world record holder for most selfies taken in three minutes. The new record was set last week on board the cruise ship Carnival Triumph during the eight annual New Kids on the Block cruise. The fans gathered around the ships open deck forming long line in order to take a selfie with the actor and singer.

Thomson Spirit runs aground in Portimao, Portugal

The cruise ship Thomson Spirit, with over 1,000 passengers on board, ran aground in the middle of the Arade River in Portugal on Tuesday. The ship operated by the British cruise line Thomson Cruises blocked the river for an hour and a half, after the Captain was forced to abort the docking maneuvers. Thomson Spirit was scheduled to arrive in the port of Portimão at 8:00 a.m. entering the river at low tide.

Video: German Passenger Medevac from Mein Schiff

A 55 year-old German passenger was airlifted from the TUI cruise ship Mein Schiff in Greece on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. According to the press release the German national who was traveling on the Cruise ship near Samos and Ikaria, had cardiac problems. Ship’s Captain notified Greek authorities about the medical emergency. The Coast Guard reacted swiftly by sending Super Puma helicopter in order to transport the passenger to the hospital. The patient was transferred to the Cardiology Hospital in Samos, and is in stable condition.
