Pacific Princess Compartment Number 2 experienced flooding this morning as the cruise ship tried to dock in the port of Nice, France. Red fire alert was sounded at the German Shipyard Meyer Werft on Saturday. The fire broke out in the early morning hours on the Norwegian Cruise Line new build ship Norwegian Joy. The fire started on one of the staterooms balcony on Deck 9, at around 7:50 a.m. The hall was evacuated, and luckily no one was injured. Affected by the fire are several decks of the 326 meter long vessel. 130 firefighters and dozens of rescue workers were deployed to the shipyard.
