The German cruise ship Aida Prima recovered a body of an unidentified person from the Mediterranean yesterday at around 1:30 pm. Prima was sailing from the Spanish port of Malaga to Palma de Mallorca when a guest spotted a lifeless body floating in the sea. After alerting the ship's officers crew immediately triggered a man-over-board alarm and initiated a rescue operation. The passengers were then instructed to clear the open deck areas completely.

Royal Caribbean crew member died under tragic circumstances on board the cruise ship Rhapsody of the Seas on 22 September. The vessel was docked in the Croatian popular cruise port of Dubrovnik, Gruz, when a crew member was reported overboard. According to Croatian media, the tragedy struck just after 2 pm local time. 

We are deeply saddened to report that a crew member has passed away on board the cruise ship Carnival Conquest. Harry Soelistijono age 66, from Indonesia died on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. Harry was a true veteran working for Carnival Cruise Line for over 35 years. In the past 17 years, he was working on the position Headwaiter and was well known by many Carnival team members and guests.

A crew member aboard the Norwegian Cruise ship, Norwegian Joy, has died on 9 July 2019. The 29-year-old crew member from Mauritius, Chandraprakash Beersee, passed away in his cabin on Norwegian Joy, while the vessel was sailing to Juneau, Alaska. According to reports, the cause of death was a heart attack while the crew member was sleeping. Chandraprakash was a talented pastry chef who has boarded the vessel three weeks before his death on 15 June 2019.

Silvio Gentile, Carnival Cruise Line Director of Scheduling and Compliance, has passed away from a heart attack ten days ago in Miami, Florida. With the sudden death of Silvio Gentile, Carnival lost a great professional and a visionary, but most of all an exceptional human who has impacted the lives of many onboard Carnival cruise ships.

The US Coast Guard has ended the search for the crewmember who fell from the cruise ship Carnival Victory. 

We are very sad to report that an Indian crew member employed by the Italian company Costa Cruises, died from a heart attack onboard the cruise ship Costa Luminosa.

Several people have informed Crew Center that a crew member died onboard the Princess Cruises ship Island Princess. The crew member is a Serbian National working in the Galley Department onboard Island Princess. According to reports, the crew member was discovered dead in his cabin yesterday. Some people are saying that it is an apparent suicide but this is not confirmed. At this moment we are not disclosing the crew member’s name. 

We are sad to report that a team member has passed away onboard Carnival Sunshine on April 27, while the cruise ship was in Port Canaveral, Florida. The ship’s departure was delayed until the team member has been taken off the ship and announcement was made via PA system about this tragic event.

An elderly passenger has died onboard the cruise ship MSC Splendida while the vessel was in Sir Bani Yas, United Arab Emirates on April 02, 2019. According to a passenger sailing on Splendid, the man died during dinner presumably of a heart attack. Revival was attempted by the crew, and emergency personnel came to transfer him to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
