Puerto Plata’s New Taino Bay Port Welcomes First Cruise Ship

MSC Seashore had the honor of being the first-ever cruise ship to dock in the new cruise port in the Dominican Republic, the Taino Bay.  The new ship, who’s started sailing in November this year, begins its voyage this season with roundtrip from the Port Miami (USA), with stops in Ocho Rios, Georgetown, Cozumel, Ocean Cay, San Juan, Charlotte Amalie, Puerto Plata (Taino Bay).

After 4 Covid-19 cases, that have occurred onboard Mein Schiff 4, TUI had to end some of the passenger's journey prematurely. In specific, 300 passengers wanted to continue their vacation for seven more days, in order to spend their Christmas in the sun on this cruise ship.

48 People on Symphony of the Seas Test Positive for COVID-19

48 People on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Symphony of the Seas, tested positive for COVID-19 after the vessel returned to Miami from a week-long voyage. Royal Caribbean International says it was carrying more than six thousand people, to be precise 6091 passengers and crew members. 95 percent of the people were vaccinated, and according to the company, all of the cases were mild or had no symptoms.

Carnival Cruise Line Updates Health and Safety Protocols Through January 2022

Carnival Cruise Line updated a number of health and safety protocols that will be valid through January 2022. The company announced that these updates are due to the Omicron variant and notified the guests, without exception aged two and above are required to wear masks indoors, except while eating or drinking; when in their cabins; and during large gatherings outdoors, where physical distancing is impossible.

Norwegian Cruise Line Will Require Guests to Wear Masks and Test for COVID-19 at the Terminal

With the recent uptick of COVID-19 in the world Norwegian Cruise Line has strengthened mask wearing protocols and will require COVID-19 testing at the terminal prior to boarding amid the emergence of the highly contagious Omicron variant and following outbreaks onboard their ships.
