Epic ocean race will set off next year, between the Cunard’s ocean liner Queen Mary 2 and four Ultime trimarans. This transatlantic race will start on 25 June, 2017 from Saint-Nazaire, France across the North Atlantic and finish at the entrance of the New York harbour. The amazing idea, by Damien Grimont, supported by the French Minister of Defense, was finalized following The Bridge Association signing agreement with Cunard Line to charter their flagship, Queen Mary 2 for this epic ocean race.

After a 7 sea days voyage straight out of the island of Tenerife, Spain. We all know how demanding and tiring are the sea days for the crew members. Imagine that we had 7 sea days straight.

Few hours after departing from the port of Split, Croatia, the cruise ship Costa Mediterranea turned back due to medical emergency.

Three cruise ships were scheduled to dock in the Italian port of Cagliari on November 2, instead only two ships landed, Costa Pacifica and Queen Victoria with around 5,000 tourists. The third cruise ship, Queen Elizabeth arrived and didn’t dock at the scheduled port.

Celebrity Silhouette passenger was evacuated by the Cyprus Coast Guard on October 1, 2016 while the cruise ship was sailing south of Paphos. According to the information, a 64 year old man collapsed and needed immediate hospitalization. Ship’s captain informed the JRCC Larnaca about the medical emergency and the Coast Guard coordinated the evacuation, sending helicopter from the 460 SAR SQN.

After the extensive damage at the Freeport, Bahamas shipyard caused by the Hurricane Mathew, Royal Caribbean announced that the refurbishment of Adventure of the Seas will be delayed. Unfortunately the shipyard was not able to complete everything that was planned for the remodeling of the Adventure of the Seas as it was announced several weeks ago. However, the vessel will exit the shipyard as planed on November 14, 2016.
