Norwegian Cruise Line to Reduce Stateroom Cleaning Services

Norwegian Cruise Line will reduce cleaning services in guest staterooms aboard all of its ships in 2023. According to a letter sent to crew, the company will adjust the current daily stateroom (turn-down) service provided to guests in all categories below a Suite level. Guests staying in Studio, Inside, Oceanview, Balcony, and Club Balcony Suite will receive once-daily stateroom service.

Carnival Cruise Line will bring the fun at sea at the annual New Year’s Eve celebration as the official sponsor of Times Square New Year's Eve, musical sponsor, and countdown clock sponsor for "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest" on ABC. Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy will joinn the celebrations by lighting the iconic New Year's Eve Ball in New York's Times Square, together with nearly 100,000 passengers sailing on Carnival's 24 ships.

Netflix releases "The Volcano: Rescue in Whakaari" - Documentary of the deadly eruption that killed cruise passengers

This month Netflix released the documentary "The Volcano: Rescue in Whakaari" telling the story of the deadly volcano eruption in New Zealand, through the testimonies of survivors and rescuers. The tragedy on White Island claimed the lives of 22 people, most of them passengers sailing aboard the cruise ship Ovation of the Seas.

Man Dies on Carnival Legend “Not an overboard incident” Carnival says

A guest died aboard the Carnival Legend, on Monday, December 20, while the cruise ship was sailing an 8-day Eastern Caribbean Christmas cruise. Several passengers reported that a man overboard signal was sounded on the public address system saying that from the deck cams there were lights in the water and that the crew even lowered a lifeboat.

Arvia joins P&O Cruises Fleet

With the official handover by Meyer Werft  Shipyards in Bremerhaven, Germany P&O Cruises welcomed the new cruise ship Arvia to its fleet.

The second LNG-fuelled cruise ship of the Helios-class for the British cruise company was built at the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg, just like her sister ship P&O Iona.
