NCLH Appoints New Presidents of Regent and Oceania Cruises

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. announced major changes in key senior executive leadership positions at two of its wholly-owned brands. Effective January 1, 2023, Andrea DeMarco, current Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, will serve as President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Frank A. Del Rio, current Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Oceania Cruises, will serve as President of Oceania Cruises, succeeding Howard Sherman.

Barbara Muckermann to Succeed Roberto Martinoli as Silversea New President and CEO

Silversea Cruises announced that the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer Roberto Martinoli, will assume a new corporate roll and will serve as a senior advisor to Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO Jason Liberty. Starting January 1, 2023 Barbara Muckermann, who is currently Chief Commercial Officer, will take over the postion as Silversea's next president and CEO.

Swan Hellenic Acquires SH Diana at auction from Helsinki shipyard

Swan Hellenic has acquired the third state-of-the-art expedition cruise ship named SH Diana, from Helsinki Shipyard. With the latest acquisition the cruise line will expand its fleet with three ships of the same class in 2023. The sister ships SH Minerva and SH Vega, which have been  delivered in 2021 and 2022, are already operating in the polar regions. 

Royal Caribbean Group Inks Strategic Partnership with Meyer Turku and the Finnish Government

Royal Caribbean Group announced the signing of a maritime declaration with the Finnish government, represented by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment and the shipyard Meyer Turku Oy, to chart the way forward for innovative and sustainable shipbuilding in Finland. The agreement is set to advance innovation, strengthen competitiveness and bolster the maritime industry into the future.

Royal Caribbean Officially Names Wonder of the Seas

Royal Caribbean has held the naming ceremony for its latest cruise ship, Wonder of the Seas, at Port Canaveral, Florida. In a ceremony fit for the world's newest wonder the ship was named by its Godmother and Wonder Mom Marie McCrea from Pennsylvania. The evening ceremony also marked the start of a new chapter for Wonder as it makes waves as Port Canaveral's new, year-round family vacation.
