AidaBlu Crew Member transferred to Hospital in Corfu

Yesterday a crew member of the cruise ship AidaBlu who needed medical treatment disembarked at the port of Corfu, Greece. Corfu Port Authority was informed by the ship’s Captain, shortly after the vessel departed, requesting to return in order to disembark a 27-year-old crew member who needed hospital treatment. From the port, the crew member was transferred by ambulance to Corfu General Hospital.

Carnival Dream stops in Funchal to disembark crew member in need of medical attention

The cruise ship Carnival Dream has been forced to make a slight detour during its transatlantic voyage from Miami to Marseille, France. The vessel approached Funchal, Madeira yesterday and anchored near the port to disembark a crew member in need of medical assistance. The crew member was medically evacuated with a boat and transferred by to the Hospital da Luz by an ambulance waiting at the port. 

Cyprus Lifeguards Rescue Young Man Attempting to Swim Towards Anchored Cruise Ship

A 25-year-old man was rescued from drowning thanks to the lifeguards and Cyprus port police after he attempted to swim towards one of the cruise ships anchored off the coast of Pyrgos. According to the photo posted by the lifeguards the young man attempt to swim towards Seabourn Sojourn.

Mein Schiff 1 crew rescues sailors from distressed sailboat - one sailor dead

The cruise ship Mein Schiff 1 responded to a mayday call and rescued two men from the French sailboat “Agecanonix” during the ship’s return from the Caribbean to the German port of Bremerhaven. Unfortunately, the third sailor died on the sailboat before the cruise ship reached to rescue the survivors.

Rescuers Pick Up A Sick Toddler From AIDAprima

Late on Saturday evening, around 10 p.m. as announced by the German Society for Rescue of Shipwrecked People (DGzRS) the crew of the rescue cruiser "Hans Hackmack" in Cuxhaven has received an emergency call about a sick child. The sea rescuers responded immediately and started off a corresponding rescue operation for the toddler, arriving alongside the 300-meter AIDAprima in the Elbe estuary.

Cruise passenger airlifted from MSC Grandiosa

A 25-year-old French passenger in urgent need of medical treatment was airlifted by the Coast Guard rescue crew from the cruise ship MSC Grandiosa. The cruise ship was located about 20 nautical miles off the coast of Sant'Antioco, in southwestern Sardinia sailing a 7 Night Mediterranean cruise towards La Valletta, Malta when the medical evacuation took place.
