Sapphire Princess officer was airlifted off the cruise ship in the early morning hours today after suffering serious head injury. The Master of Sapphire Princess Paolo Ravera made an announcement on the PA system that there has been an officer that is in serious medical condition and needs medical evacuation.

A 33-year-old man, member of the MS Oosterdam crew was evacuated by the United States Coast Guard on Sunday, December 3, 2017. The crew member was suffering symptoms of appendicitis and needed urgent medical attention on land. Therefore the crew of the Holland America Line's cruise ship MS Oosterdam notified Coast Guard watchstanders that they need medical evacuation assistance.

A crew member was evacuated from one of the largest cruise ships in the world Ovation of the Seas.

The Spanish Coast Guard performed a medical evacuation of two people, a crew member and a passenger, who were sailing on board the cruise ship Oceania Riviera. Medical evacuation has been confirmed to Europa Press by a spokesman for Maritime Rescue, who said that, around 9:20 p.m.

A crew member of the cruise ship Aidablu was evacuated this morning, Monday, July 10, by the Italian Coast Guard. The 34-year-old German national, experienced severe abdominal pain when the ship was 56 nautical miles of San Benedetto del Tronto. The vessel was sailing from Venice, Italy to Corfu, Greece when the medical evacuation took place.

British sailor Mervyn Wheatley is back on land after being rescued in the Atlantic Ocean from his battered yacht by the cruise liner Queen Mary 2. Cunard’s flagship participated last Saturday in the rescue of a man who had suffered problems with his yacht due to a strong storm. Mervyn Wheatley was participating in the transatlantic race Original Single Handed Transatlantic Race, known as OSTAR when his yacht was battered by strong gusts of wind.

A 34-year-old Filipino crew member of the cruise ship "Mein Schiff 5" was evacuated by the Spanish Coast Guard on Tuesday evening due to medical emergency. The vessel was 54 miles from Palma de Mallorca when the ship's officers notified port authorities that a crew member had a heart attack, and was in need of urgent transfer to a hospital for further medical care.

Civitavecchia Port authorities received a distress call from the Holland America Line cruise ship MS Westerdam, shortly after the vessel left the port of Civitavecchia. According to the Italian Coast Guard, there was a medical emergency for a crew member with Romanian nationality who sustained a head injury and was unconscious.

The crew of BRP Malabrigo has successfully medically evacuated a passenger of a cruise ship at vicinity waters 1.5 Nautical Miles Northwest of Carabao Island, Cavite, on March 19, 2017. The passenger was identified as 70-year-old, an Australian-national Mrs. Pauline Sulivan.
