Carnival Dream stops in Funchal to disembark crew member in need of medical attention

The cruise ship Carnival Dream has been forced to make a slight detour during its transatlantic voyage from Miami to Marseille, France. The vessel approached Funchal, Madeira yesterday and anchored near the port to disembark a crew member in need of medical assistance. The crew member was medically evacuated with a boat and transferred by to the Hospital da Luz by an ambulance waiting at the port. 

AidaBlu Crew Member transferred to Hospital in Corfu

Yesterday a crew member of the cruise ship AidaBlu who needed medical treatment disembarked at the port of Corfu, Greece. Corfu Port Authority was informed by the ship’s Captain, shortly after the vessel departed, requesting to return in order to disembark a 27-year-old crew member who needed hospital treatment. From the port, the crew member was transferred by ambulance to Corfu General Hospital.

MS Zaandam Crew Member Evacuated To Shore For Medical Treatment

A crew member from the cruise ship MS Zaandam, anchored off the coast of Torbay, was medically evacuated on January 8, to shore for medical treatment. Torbay Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to assist with the medical evacuation of the crew member who had to be treated in a hospital. Torbay coastguard reports that the crew member was transferred onshore by tender boat which arrived at the harbor at around 7:30 pm. When the tender boat arrived alongside the rescu

A crew member from the cruise ship Marella Explorer 2, anchored in the middle of Tor Bay, South West England, was transferred ashore with one of the ship’s lifeboats after suffering a suspected heart attack. With the assistance from RNLI lifeboat station volunteers, the crew member was taken ashore to Torquay and transferred to the hospital.

A 43-year-old crew member of the cruise ship Marella Discovery was medically evacuated on Saturday night while the vessel was anchored in Weymouth Bay on England's south coast. The crew member, whose name was not released, fell ill with suspected meningitis, reports Weymouth RNLI lifeboat station.

The cruise ship Carnival Legend responded to a call for help from a catamaran that had run out of fuel off the coast of Bahamas. Carnival Legend delivered 25 gallons of fuel to the boat crew in order to make its way back to Jacksonville, Florida.
