Royal Caribbean cruise ship Navigator of the Seas experienced technical problems last night, forcing the vessel to make an emergency stop to the nearest port.

The tragic news of the crew member who went overboard from the cruise ship Celebrity Reflection shook Celebrity Cruises family and the entire crew community. Alex Heleta from Ukraine, age 36, was reported overboard while the cruise ship was sailing from Mykonos to Rhodes.

US Coast Guard performed a medical evacuation of a crew member from the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Anthem of the Seas. The incident was reported at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, two hours after the vessel departed from its homeport Cape Liberty, Bayonne. Coast Guard watch standers at a command center in Boston were notified by the ship's authorities that a 34-year-old man aboard the ship was experiencing severe leg pain.

A crew member working onboard Celebrity Reflection went overboard last night while the cruise ship was sailing from Mykonos to Rhodes. Ship’s captain turned around toward the last known position and crew launched search and rescue operation, but the crewman was not found. Celebrity Reflection officers reported the man overboard to the Greek Coast Guard who joined the search efforts sending Helicopter and rescue vessels to the area.

Oceania Cruises vessel MS Nautica broke moorings at the port of Greenock, Scotland today. The cruise ship encountered extremely strong winds of up to 90 mph by the Storm Ali, which resulted in the parting of mooring lines.

A 33-year old male passenger was reported going overboard today in the Labrador Sea, about 100 nautical miles north of St. John's, Newfoundland, from the cruise ship Aidaluna, operated by Aida Cruises. According to the German newspaper Bild, the missing person is the pop singer Daniel Kueblboeck. Coast Guard deployed airplane and helicopter to search for the missing person.

Royal Caribbean cruise ship Majesty of the Seas delayed its departure from the Port of Tampa due to the Tropical storm Gordon. The plan of the current 5-night Western Caribbean voyage is Majesty of the Seas to stay away from the center of the tropical storm giving plenty of room to drop south behind it. The delayed departure will flip Itinerary but the ship will make it to Costa Maya and Cozumel.

The cruise ship Saga Pearl 2 has hit as many as 4 luxury yachts during a maneuver in the small port of Dartmouth on 29th August. The vessel piloted by Captain Mark Cooper (the Harbourmaster) was brought into the Port of Dartmouth. During a maneuver to turn, the ship clipped 4 yachts causing superficial damage. No one was hurt in the incident and the harbour office is now making all efforts to contact the owners of the yacht involved.

This evening the first ever LNG powered cruise ship named Aidanova will be baptized in Papenburg, Germany. The organizers expect some 25,000 visitors to attend the ceremony at the Meyer Werft site.
