Police board Norwegian Breakaway after reported assault

Massachusetts State Police boarded the cruise ship Norwegian Breakaway on Tuesday night after a reported assault occurred on board the vessel. The Norwegian Breakaway departure from Boston was delayed for more than five hours due to the police investigation.

A spokesperson from MSP said that the police boarded the ship to conduct the investigation at 9:55 p.m.

Virgin Voyages To Drop Vaccination Requirement For Guests

In line with other major cruise lines, Virgin Voyages will soon drop its vaccination mandate for guests sailing on its ships. In a note on its Voyage Well health and safety website, the cruise line said that “In accordance with our industry standards and with consideration and guidance from the CDC, we are adjusting our protocols.”

NCL and Celebrity Cruises pull Bermuda stops over Covid testing requirements

Two cruise lines have canceled a series of calls to Bermuda during October and November due to the island's Covid-19 testing requirements. Celebrity Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line pulled five stops – four Celebrity and one NCL. Three other scheduled calls to Bermuda were said to have been unofficially canceled by other cruise lines

Small Fire Breaks Out Aboard Celestyal Crystal

A small fire broke out on the cruise ship Celestyal Crystal Tuesday afternoon, while the vessel was docked in Rhodes, Greece. The fire started on the pool deck engulfing in flames several sunbeds and chairs.

Onboard firefighting teams quickly rushed to the scene and managed to completely extinguish the fire within 10 minutes, confirmed Rhodes Fire Service after boarding the ship.
