Four Seasons Hotels Limited specializing in luxury hotels and resorts announced launching of s new luxury cruise brand and construction of its first vessel. Four Seasons Yachts will be under the leadership Larry Pimentel, well know industry veteran who led Azamara, SeaDream and Cunard.

Carnival Cruise Line Hosts 40 Bahamian Maritime Students

Carnival Cruise Line hosted 40 Bahamian students and maritime industry leaders aboard the Carnival Dream, from September 26-30.

The cruise line partnered with the Bahamas Maritime Authority for Maritime Week, a series of events that showcase career opportunities in the industry to the next generation of Bahamian professionals.

Masks are not required anymore for RCI and Celebrity Cruises crew

The much anticipated day on which the RCG crew members can stop wearing masks on cruise ships at all times has finally arrived. From today, Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises crew can remove their masks in all guests and crew, indoor or outdoor areas. The obligation for the crew to wear face masks is the latest COVID-19 measure to be relaxed as the cruise industry continues on its path to normality following the COVID pandemic.

Carnival Splendor arrives in Sydney Harbour to kick-off Australia cruise season

After a 23-day Trans-Pacific voyage Carnival Splendor arrived in Sydney Harbour. The ship was welcomed into the country with a special escort by sister brand P&O Cruises Australia's Pacific Adventure before sailing past the Sydney Opera House and arriving in port. Her arrival marks the first cruise ship to enter Australian waters carrying international passengers in nearly three years.

Viking celebrates 25th anniversary in Amsterdam

Viking marked the company's 25th anniversary with a historic celebration in Amsterdam. To commemorate this milestone, for the first time ever, three classes of Viking ships — a river ship, an ocean liner and the company's newest expedition ship, the Viking Polaris — met in Amsterdam and sailed in a special convoy to IJmuiden, the Netherlands. Participating in the convoy with Viking Polaris were Viking Longship, Viking Mani and the ocean liner, Viking Mars.

Norwegian Cruise Line ends Covid-19 testing, vaccination and masking requirements

Norwegian Cruise Line announced updates of its global health and safety protocols removing all requirements for testing, masking and vaccination for COVID-19 as of October 4, 2022.

In light of significant, positive developments in the public health environment, Cruise Line has updated its health and safety guidelines, which are now more aligned with other global travel organizations.

Oceania Cruises announces innovative bar program

Oceania Cruises will implement an innovative bar program on its latest cruise ship Vista, set to debut on May 20, 2023. The Vista, the first of the all-new brand's Allura-class ships, will feature the latest cocktail trends and techniques such as flavored smoke bubbles, a wide selection of low-sugar and sugar-free wines and non-proof cocktails, plus barrel-aged Negronis and specialty beverage carts such as Bubbli Bar and Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar.
