Italian authorities seized 500 kilos of pure cocaine last week in a coordinated operation with Customs Agency - Anti-fraud unit and Prosecutor's Office - Anti-Mafia Directorate. This huge amount of cocaine was identified and seized on MSC cargo ship in one of the shipments destined for Ravenna, where the narcotic was probably intended for distribution throughout Northern Italy.

Brazilian Media reports that a man who was part of the MSC Magnifica crew died on Sunday evening. The cruise ship was docked in the Port of Santos when this tragic event occurred. Preliminary reports say that the man had cardiac arrest just moments before the ship docked in Santos.
