MSC Cruises Redeploys MSC Bellisima to the Med

MSC Cruises is adding another vessel to the Mediterranean to meet the growing demand in the region. MSC Bellissima, currently based in the Middle East, will return to Europe and begin summer voyages this July. MSC Bellissima will no longer be located in Doha, Qatar and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates as it will start sailing the Mediterranean from July 9, 2022.

Disney Cruise Line Takes Delivery of the Disney Wish

Disney Cruise Line has officially taken over its fifth cruise ship Disney Wish. The vessel was handed over to the Meier Verft shipyard to a cruise company during today's ceremony in Germany. Disney Cruise Line President Thomas Mazlum and Meyer Verft CEO Jan Meyer signed official documents transferring ownership of the shipbuilder to Disney.

Virgin Voyages Delays Launch of Resilient Lady

Just two months before the scheduled first voyage of its third cruise ship, Virgin Voyages announced that it had decided to postpone the launch of the ship for nine months. The brand, which has promised to shake up the cruise industry, highlighted the achievements in the 10 months since it was launched despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, while saying it would use the time to prepare and complete the next round of funding.

Overwhelming number of applicants turn out at Royal Caribbean recruitment fair in Trinidad and Tobago

A huge response from Trinidad and Tobago citizens to calls for employment at Royal Caribbean prompted the cruise company to add another day of registration at the National Academy of Performing Arts in the capital Port of Spain. The company said it would return to NAPA on Friday to receive those who did not pass yesterday.

Cruise Ship Denied Port Entry in Tangier Due to Increase of Covid-19 Cases

The Moroccan authorities prevented the cruise ship Main Schiff Herz, from docking at the port of Tangier, due to increase in Covid-19 cases among passengers on board. The Main Schiff Herz departed on June 3, from Malaga, Spain on a 7-night Mediterranean voyage and was scheduled to visit Tangier on June 7, when about 26 passengers tested positive for Covid-19, local media report. The ship is carrying 1,785 guests, most of them Germans, including 640 crew.
