Cunard Line has welcomed back one of the oldest living crew members on the ocean cruise liner Queen Mary 2 as the company prepares to celebrate100-years of sailing from the port of Southampton. The former bellboy John Jenkins first started working for Cunard Line back in 1933, onboard the superliner RMS Mauretania sailing from Southampton to New York City.
A tour bus with 32 guests from the cruise ship Carnival Ecstasy crashed Monday morning near Rock Sound, Eleuthera in the Bahamas. News reports state that 26 people suffered injuries from the crash operated by Eleuthera Adventure Tours Limited and organized by Carnival Cruise Line shore excursion Cathedral Cove, Ocean Hole and Rock Sound Island Tour.
MSC Cruises crew member rescued a woman after she went overboard from the cruise ship MSC Seaview while the vessel was docked at the port of Genoa, Italy. The incident happen on Monday, June 17, 2019, at around 10 pm when a 43-year-old Irish woman jumped from one of the decks into the sea after a fight with her husband.

The cruise ship Carnival Paradise rescued two local sailors after their boat started to sink on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Carnival Paradise had left Cozumel and was sailing towards Tampa, Florida when the ship’s crew spotted a vessel requesting for help after the boat started to take on water. The cruise ship lowered a lifeboat and rescued the sailors from the sinking ship. Shortly after a vessel from the Mexican Coast Guard arrived at the scene to take the sailors back to shore.
Gibraltar Chief Minister Fabian Picardo, received a written apology from the Captain of the Holland America Line cruise ship MS Koningsdam after a wrong welcome sign was posted in front of the vessel with an outline map of the Rock painted in the Spanish flag.
