Top 10 List: Best and Worst Cruise Lines USPH Scores for 2017

2017 was a tough year for the cruise industry regarding the sanitation inspections conducted by the United States Public Health Authorities. A record number of fifteen cruise ships fail to pass the inspection, however, on the other hand, many cruise ships passed with a perfect score of 100 points. Looking at the CDC inspection scores for 2017, we decided to do an analysis and find out what is the average score of each cruise line.

NCL’s Next Cruise Ship To Be Named Norwegian Encore

The fourth member of the Norwegian Cruise Line Breakaway Plus family will be called Norwegian Encore. This was announced today by Andy Stuart, president and chief executive officer for Norwegian Cruise Line, during the steel-cutting at Meyer-Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. With 169,000 tones, 333.5 meters long and 41.5 meters wide, Encore will be able to carry up to 3,998 passengers.

NCL Pride of America in Honolulu during the False Missile Alert

“EMERGENCY ALERT: Ballistic missile threat inbound to Hawaii. Seek immediate shelter. This is not a drill”.

This false emergency message sent out to every cell phone in Hawaii by the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency caused widespread panic and confusion. Hawaii residents as well as tourists swept up in the panic, immediately expressed outrage.

Crew member who forced a miscarriage on Norwegian Dawn is released by court

A crew member which was arrested together with her partner in Bermuda on August 7, 2017, for causing her own miscarriage has been released by the Supreme Court. She and her partner, booth crew members of the cruise ship Norwegian Dawn walked free from the court in Bermuda yesterday, reports The Royal Gazette.
