Meyer Group concept: This is what a cruise ship could look like in the year 2100

Meyer Group, a global leader in cruise ship construction, has unveiled a futuristic concept of what cruise ships could look like in the year 2100. At the SeaTrade Cruise Global in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the company showcased their "Reverse" cruise ship model, which features drone landing pads, a closed glass facade, and urban gardening areas.

Passenger sailing on Valliant Lady dies after falling from balcony

A tragic incident occurred on the Virgin Voyages cruise ship Valiant Lady on Sunday, resulting in the death of a female passenger. According to reports, the passenger fell from her balcony and landed on another passenger on a lower deck, while the ship was en route from PortMiami to Roatan, Honduras. The passenger could not be saved despite immediate medical attention from the onboard medical team.

The Ambition Ambassador Cruise Line second ship to enter service for the UK cruise company has arrived at the Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany. The former Aida Cruises ship was acquired at the beginning of 2022 and was serving as a hotel accommodation for Ukrainian refugees at King George V dock in Glasgow, Scotland since September 14, 2022.

Port Pilot Dies While Boarding the Diamond Princess

A port pilot died while boarding the cruise ship Diamond Princess as the vessel was approaching the port of Nagasaki on May 5th. The tragedy happened at around 5:30 am local time when the 69-year-old pilot fell into the sea while climbing the ladder to board the Diamond Princess from a pilot boat, which is a standard procedure before cruise ship enters port and a local pilot takes control of the navigation.
