Princess Cruises announces ‘The Love Boat’ Cruise

The special cruise themed “The Love Boat,” proper for the following holiday that celebrates the iconic TV series will take place onboard the Majestic Princess, to celebrate the character of Captain Stubing, with a tribute to actor Gavin MacLeod. The host of this voyage will be Jill Whelan, the Princess Cruises Celebrations Ambassador, who plays the role of Vicki Stubing in the famous series “The Love Boat,” and the fellow cast members Cynthia Lauren Tewes, Bernie Kopell, Fred Grandy and Ted Lange.

The 39th edition of the "Una Vita per il Mare" (A life dedicated to the sea) award took place at the Sala Nobile, in the Palazzo del Consiglio dei twelve cavalieri di S. Stefano, in Pisa, Italy. The event was organized by the Italian Naval League of Pisa, honoring maritime professionals who have went above and beyond by promoting, safeguarding and protecting the seafaring culture.

Royal Caribbean’s CEO Richard Fain stepping down after more than three decades

Coping with the pandemic crisis and being the leading person of the world’s second-largest cruise company for 33 years, the 74-year old CEO Richard D. Fain is stepping down from this position at the very beginning of 2022. Fain said “it was the right time to step down” with most of the company’s ships operating and the group nearing a full return to cruising.
