Virgin Voyages to base Resilient Lady in Australia in 2023

Virgin Voyages announced that the Resilient Lady will use Melbourne as its homeport next year. The 2770-passenger luxury ship will arrive in late 2023 offering a mix of voyages across Australia and New Zealand, from two to 14 nights. The arrival of the ship in Australia will mark the debut of Virgin Voyages Down Under, despite earlier reports that the second ship of this line, the Valiant Lady cruise, will start with an Australian voyage later this year.

Celebrity Beyond Sails on Maiden Voyage

Celebrity Beyond, the third new cruise ship in the Edge class, but 21 meters longer and one deck taller has set sail on its maiden voyage from the port of Southampton. The first voyage will last 11 days and will take guests along Western Europe to Barcelona, with stops in Bilbao, Lisbon, and Seville, among others. Accordingly, the summer season of 2022 will end in the Mediterranean - mostly in the western, but also on smaller bypasses in the eastern Mediterranean.

Castellammare launches Cunard’s Queen Anne bow section

Today the first section of the Queen Anne, Cunard's newest ship, was floated at Fincantieri's shipyard in Castellammare di Stabia. The 116-meter long block that will form the lower forward section of the hull was launched from the inclined slipway, representing the largest section ever built at Castellammare di Stabia shipyard.
